8th WTBT has been postponed to 2023

The WTBF Committee held a meeting on Thursday, 23rd December 2021 regarding the 8th WTBT which was scheduled to be held on 16th/17th April 2022 in Switzerland.

To confirm the decisions made in the meeting, the committee had another meeting with branch administration representatives on 2nd January 2022. Further, the committee consulted with WTBT Switzerland Organizing Committee concerning the above matter.

As a result, WTBF Committee has decided to postpone the 8th WTBT to 8th/9th April 2023 in Berne,Switzerland.

We are very sad about this decision, but we strongly believe that it is the right thing to do. We want to host a proper tournament where everyone has a chance to participate and feel safe. There shouldn’t be any restrictions on traveling or any kind of health issues by Covid-19.

Further, we encourage all country branches to organize a local tournament in their countries on either April 2022 or a suitable date. In 2023 we will be ready for a wonderful international event.
