The advisor, and founding time member of WTBF, Mr.Roman Pechous and his beloved Miss. Marina have sent numerous badminton related equipments and accessories to kids living in deprived North and East  of Sri Lanka in behalf of WTBF.

Badminton tournaments being held annually in North and East of Sri Lanka which are being organised and hosted by WTBF and hundreds of players from many parts of Sri Lanka take part in these events. During last year (2018) tournament which were held for 3 consecutive days, Mr Roman Pechous and Miss. Marina  has being participating as chief guests to the games to make it a more memorable game. During the tournament, Chief guests were eye witnessed the talents of young players from all walks of life with very limited resources, especially with some of the players taking part without any shoes and some having to borrow badminton equipments to take part in the tournaments.

Taking into consideration of such backward situation they both with combined effort collected many badminton related items from people living in Switzerland and sent them to those very needy people in North and East of Sri Lanka. It is also very notable that they visited and had very meaningful constructive conversations and cordial discussions with organisers and members of WTBF branch of Sri Lanka as a fact finding mission during their stay.

As everyone already know, that Mr.Roman, Miss. Marina are always being extremely caring of well being of Tamils. Mr.Roman Pechous is one of the main pillars who supports and contributes enormously from day one towards the very success of the WTBF and Tamils living globally are always indebted to his never ending commitment, hard work and input towards to bringing the best out of badminton talents amongst the Tamils living worldwide and we also sincerely praise and seek their continued commitment, guidance and support towards our endeavour to become a noticeable talents amongst world’s badminton community.

It is very commendable that, even though Mr. Pechous Miss Marina come from the white community of Switzerland with totally different background and culture they went out of their way to help the Tamils with their good hearted nature.
