Our story

The World Tamil Badminton Federaon was founded by Kandiah Singam in Switzerland. It started in April 2013, where the first commiee was formed from the players and well-wishers from all over the parcipang countries. These countries included the UK, Switzerland, France and Canada. Today the commiee has grown and now, also includes those from Germany, Holland, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Sri Lanka, Australia, New Zealand, Portugal, Finland, India, Malaysia and the USA.

The Federaon is about culture and connecng generaons, making a team of friends who turn into family as they grow and bond together. This has been a great way for the Tamil community to connect, stay connected and expand all over the world. More importantly it is geng our youth acve and involved with learning about their culture and history. It promotes healthy and acve living for both youth and adults through the game of badminton.
